Unifying the car loan application process
for web and mobile
Role:
Product designer
Focus:
Fintech. Lending
Platforms:
Web / Mobile / WebView

Context
The auto loan application process for web and mobile developed independently. Over time, this led
to discrepancies in user flow logic, duplicated parameters and a more complex user journey.
For the team, this meant costlier updates and difficulties in developing a unified product,
whilst for the user, it created unnecessary complexity at the point of decision-making.

Goals and success criteria
—
Increase web conversion to match the mobile app rate (up 4%)
—
Create a single, consistent experience across web and mobile.
—
Reduce support ticket volume by simplifying the user flow
—
Accelerate A/B testing and the delivery of new features
What I did
I analysed the current flow and identified points where user attention was lost. I removed duplicate parameters, integrated new fields into the logic, and designed the scoring waiting screen. I worked within the Supreme design system and WebView constraints.
Before

The monthly payment appears editable, which misleads users
The parameters (amount, term, payment) are duplicated both in the form and in the summary card
This fragments attention, even though the payment amount remains the main decision factor
After

I streamlined the user flow to its key steps, removing unnecessary complexity
Integrated new fields without increasing cognitive load
I delivered a consistent user flow across all platforms
Established the structural foundation for product scalability and new features
Scalability and future development
The process was redesigned to support new products while maintaining UX integrity.

Restructuring form logic
The core form logic was rebuilt for new products while keeping the flow simple.
Support for new scenarios
Added screens for new business requirements within the existing user flow.
Outcome / Status
The flow was implemented in the web version of T‑Bank.
The published form maintained the original field order,
a separate monthly payment calculation,
and the consent block.
